Howdy Folks!

I managed to get home early yesterday morning and pretty much spent a lazy day reading. I know I probably should have been typing but I was really tired. I'll probably spend some time translating today so I will post the next portion of the story sometime this week. For today however I'm going to post some photos of some I took, one handed from the car while traveling, of the sights from Kingston to Montego Bay. Enjoy! Oh and Happy Mothers Day!

This is called "Flat Bridge". It's a one lane concrete bridge that has withstood countless hurricans and floods for the last 40 years. The water usually covers this road by about 10 feet and washes the roads out on both sides but the bridge reamains intact. Constructed by the British Corps of Engineers, it has become a landmark of engineering the Jamaicans try to match continuously.

Houses and comunities like these are built over the course of decades. The people of Jamaica normally get a mortgage loan for a small 1 to 3 room block and concrete structer, than pay it off over 10/20 years. Then they add to the structer to make it a full sized three to six bedroom house with all the imenities they can get but they do it as they have the money so construction can and generally does take multiple generations to finish.

This is a new condo complex they are building just outside of Montego Bay. If you could have gotten in before they started construction you could have purchaesed one at the very reasonable price of US$60,000, but now with construct almost complete everything is already sold and the resale price is from US$1million to 1.75 million depending if you want an ocean side condo or not.

This is Montego Bay from the Bottom Road Beach, I love the colors of the water...It will definatly take time to get over leaving this place.
Alright thats about all for now I'll write more later and look for the continuance of the story next week!
Until next time. Latah Mon!
